Tassels and Tabletop Event Pass
Tassels and Tabletop Event Pass
Experience both nights of the Tassels & Tabletop adventure! This event pass grants you admission to both the Saturday night D&D event and the Sunday night performance.
Saturday Night Event:
Tassels and Tabletop’s Saturday night event is an evening of 5e D&D one-shots that send you and your party on a quest to find a valuable and dangerous artifact. This fantastical night of D&D begins with a splash of live-roleplaying to set things in motion. As members of the Argent Company—Itheldin’s premiere adventuring guild—you’ll have some time to get to know about who you’ll be working for and who your fellow party members are before you sit down and start rolling. Cosplay is welcome and encouraged, though by no means necessary.
Players of all levels will find a place at the table with our diverse selection of one-shots which feature different levels of challenge and play styles. We’ve done our best to rate the amount of different gameplay elements, but we know that in D&D anything can happen! ;) Learn more about each adventure below:
The Forsaken Keep—Explore the long-abandoned ruins of Sundryl Keep and discover the secrets it holds within. This adventure is a great choice for new players or those looking to experience a classic dungeon crawl.
Combat +++ Problem-solving ++ Roleplaying +
Spire of the Crystal Wizards—Investigate a wondrous tower where magic and oddities abound and nothing is quite what it seems. This adventure is great for new and experienced players, particularly those who enjoy puzzles and whimsy.
Combat + Problem-Solving +++ Roleplaying ++
Glimmer of the Deep—Dive into Glimmerglass Cove, where a cavern hidden beneath the waves holds both untold treasures and deadly hazards. This adventure is best suited for experienced players looking for a challenge.
Combat +++ Problem-Solving ++ Roleplaying +
Something Borrowed—Crash an extravagant wedding reception where the content of the host’s vault promises to be even more dazzling than the married couple—that is, if you can manage to get inside while wedding guests abound. This adventure is best suited for players with some experience, but beginners who want a roleplay-heavy game are also welcome.
Combat + Problem-Solving +++ Roleplaying +++
Saturday, April 6 from 6:30-10:30pm. Raleigh/Durham, NC—Exact location to be announced soon (we have a few options to choose from depending on the amount of attendees).
Sunday Night Event:
This show will feature belly dance, burlesque, and more paired with the continuation and conclusion of Saturday night's story. All show guests will have the chance to interact directly with the show’s narrative to unravel it’s mystery. Because it’s a continuation of the events of Saturday night’s D&D games, we don’t want to reveal too much about the show’s premise but rest assured it will be a ton of fun! Put on your favorite D&D themed-cosplay and practice your character voice—it’s time to indulge in a little bit of live-action roleplay as you interact with our performers and uncover the truth of the evening’s events.
Does the thought of mild LARPing or anything involving roleplay, cosplay, or interacting with performers terrify you? Don’t worry! You’re also welcome to enjoy the show as an audience member NPC (Non-Player Character for those unfamiliar with the term). Sit back and enjoy the performances and intriguing atmosphere, we still guarantee you’ll have a great time!

FAQS (Saturday Night Event)
What edition of D&D will be played at Tassels & Tabletop events?
All of the Saturday night games and D&D 101 Workshops will be 5th Edition D&D.
Do I need to make my own character? If so, what are the parameters?
We know that for many players, character creation is part of the fun of D&D! For the Saturday night event, you are welcome to bring a self-created character as long as they meet the following guidelines:
Character level depends on the adventure you’re registering for. The Forsaken Keep—Level 3, Spire of the Crystal Wizards and Something Borrowed—Level 5, Glimmers of the Deep—Level 7. Multiclassing is allowed.
All races/classes/subclasses/spells/etc. that have been officially published by WOTC are allowed, as is the Critical Role content. No homebrew or playtest content please.
You may use point buy, standard array, or roll for ability scores. You can roll or take the average for HP. We won’t be able to verify your rolls, so if you roll try not to fudge it TOO much :P
Your equipment is what comes standard with your class and background, plus one common magical item (if desired). Your party may acquire or discover other items in the course of the event.
No evil-aligned characters. We know that being evil can be fun, but playing an evil character requires knowledge of the boundaries of the people you’re playing with.
If you need help making your character, grab your Player’s Handbook and come to our (free!) Friday night character creation party and get-together. We’ll help guide you through the process so that your character is ready to go for Saturday night!
What should I bring with me?
Two copies of your character sheet (one for you and one for your DM to reference).
A set of dice (we will have some dice available for borrowing for those who forget theirs).
Any D&D books/apps/spell cards/reference materials you need to keep track of your character’s abilities.
What if my character dies during the one-shot?
Gosh, we hope this doesn’t happen but it’s possible! You can stay with your group for the rest of the evening and help the DM with NPCS/monsters OR you can come join the Table of the Dead (insert spooky sounds and lightning flashes here), where we’ll have snacks and a special game just for unlucky souls!
Can I sign up for more than one adventure?
Sadly, no. All of the adventures will be running concurrently so there is no way to participate in more than one.
Are there any other participation restrictions or guidelines?
All players must be at least 18 years old to participate. Some of the adventures may involve content not suitable for minors and due to the nature of roleplaying games we have no way to 100% guarantee a kid-friendly game session.
All Tassels & Tabletop attendees must agree to and abide by our event policies and follow our code of conduct. If you do not agree with this these policies or the code of conduct, please do not register for the events. We respect that everyone has different standards for what they deem is acceptable and unacceptable while playing, however it is up to us to make sure that we provide a safe and welcoming environment.
