WORK/PLAY/DANCE EXCHANGE

Join us for an immersive weekend adventure where D&D meets dance!

APRIL 5-7, 2019 | Raleigh/Durham, NC

Tassels & Tabletop is a weekend event held from April 5-7, 2019 in the Raleigh/Durham area where dancers, tabletop gamers, cosplayers, and more can come out and play together. This unique experience will place over a weekend of interlocking adventures and events. On Friday night, we’re hosting an evening where players can create their characters for the weekend, learn more about the events of the weekend, and play tabletop games. Saturday and Sunday morning/early afternoon features dance, D&D, and cosplay workshops. Along with the new skills learned, workshop participants will earn a special reward that they can use in the Saturday evening D&D event! Saturday night is an exciting evening of interwoven D&D one-shots, with adventures for a variety of player experience and play styles. Sunday night features a scintillating evening of performances that concludes the weekend’s adventure, where players can immerse themselves in the show’s interactive story.

The League of Extraordinary Bellydancers is passionate about all things geek and all things bellydance, but D&D holds a special place in our hearts. As we began work on our upcoming theatrical bellydance show—Dungeons & Dancers, we realized that there was even more of the amazing marriage of dance and D&D to explore. Thus, Tassels & Tabletop was born! Our goal is to help bring the world of D&D and tabletop gaming to our fellow dancers and performers while at the same time giving D&D lovers the chance to experience the magic of bellydance. In particular, we hope that our D&D 101 Workshops and Bellydance 101 Workshop will encourage people to try something fun and new!

Dance and D&D transport us to other worlds filled with magic and exciting new experiences—Tassels & Tabletop is our love letter to the boundless potential for creativity and storytelling that both provide. Come play, explore, and experience this amazing adventure with us!
